Mission Statement

To provide safe, memorable, and eco-conscious kayaking experiences that connect people to the beauty of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

Who You'll Be Paddling With

Miles

Miles came to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to attend Northern Michigan University… and simply never left. A graduate of NMU’s Outdoor Recreation and Leadership program, he’s spent the last 13 years guiding along the towering cliffs of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, sharing his backyard with paddlers from all over.

When he’s not working, you’ll likely find Miles “just going for a quick paddle” that somehow turns into hours of happily playing in his canoe. Winter doesn’t slow him down either — he teaches in NMU’s Outdoor Recreation department and chases snow as often as possible.

And if you spot his “I’d rather be skiing A-Basin” sticker, he absolutely means it.

B-Money

Originally from Grand Haven, B-Money made the escape to the U.P. over ten years ago. After finding a place with true year-round access to nature, he chose Marquette as home.

His passions span every season: snowboarding, Nordic skiing, kayaking, gardening, cooking, late nights, and a good craft beer. He first fell in love with Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore as a tourist and now spends as much time as he can each summer exploring the Lakeshore.

Interesting Fact: B owns exactly one-half of a Jet Ski.

Loganne

Loganne believes the very best days are the ones that end in happy, sun-soaked exhaustion. After a long winter operating the Hospitality Leadership program at Northern Michigan University, she has mastered the fine art of “Passenger Princess” the moment the boat leaves the shore (Miles is more than happy to captain that adventure).

The steady organizer behind the scenes, Loganne fell hard for the rugged beauty of Michigan’s U.P. and never looked back. She cares deeply about keeping this place as wild and wonderful as she found it—so she’s passionate about protecting our backyard and gently encouraging everyone to leave it even better than they found it.

Interesting Fact: She has an unapologetic soft spot for a good Nicolas Cage cult classic.
